Real device cloud worked

Signed up for the real device cloud. Tested my app on a few phones. It did the job. Fast results.

Smooth experience with HyperExecute

We recently migrated some of our automation tests to LambdaTest's HyperExecute platform, specifically focusing on Cypress testing. The initial setup for integrating with our existing test suite and Jenkins plugin was surprisingly smooth. We were able to get our tests running in parallel much faster than before, which significantly cut down our build times. The video recording of tests was a lifesaver for debugging flaky tests, and the console logs provided good detail. I also appreciated the intuitive dashboard for test analytics; it gave us a clear overview of our test performance. The support documentation was also quite thorough, which helped us troubleshoot minor issues ourselves without needing to contact support often.

Good for quick checks

I used the cross browser testing cloud for a small personal project. It worked pretty well for what I needed. Setup wasn't too bad, and I could see how my site looked on different browsers quickly. Definitely helpful when you just want to make sure things aren't totally broken.

Decent value, few quirks

I tried out their selenium testing cloud for a new project. The pricing seemed reasonable, especially compared to some competitors. Setting up the integration with our existing CI/CD (GitHub Actions) was mostly straightforward, but I ran into a minor issue with some specific configuration for parallel test execution. Customer support eventually helped me out, but it took a bit longer to get a clear answer than I expected. Overall, it's a solid platform, just be prepared for a little back-and-forth if you hit a snag.

How do you apply a promo code if you find one? Is it a pain in the butt or pretty straightforward?

E Eric Hill 5 days ago
It's pretty standard. Just in the billing section during checkout, there's usually a field for it. Nothing complicated, like most online services.

I'm looking to do some testing for a native mobile app. Does LambdaTest actually support that? Or is it mostly for web stuff?

M Michelle Phillips 3 weeks ago
They do! They have a real device cloud specifically for native mobile app testing, both manual and automation. I've used it for Appium tests and it worked pretty well.

I'm a student, trying to get my projects tested. Any chance they have a student discount or something like that?

J John 1 month ago
I heard they do! You usually have to verify your student status, check their website, there should be a specific page for it. Good luck with your projects!

yeah they have a student program. also if your project is open source you might even get a free tier for that, worth looking into both.

Does anyone know if there's a free trial for this? Like, can I actually try it out before committing to a plan?

S Sean H. 3 weeks ago
Yeah, there definitely is! I think I signed up for one a while back, it was for a limited time or certain number of tests, can't remember exactly now.

They offer a free trial, not sure if it's full featured or a limited version but you can poke around a bit to see how it works for your use case.

Thinking of switching over from BrowserStack. Is LambdaTest really better or just cheaper?

J Justin M. 3 weeks ago
I've used both extensively. For automation, especially with Selenium/Cypress, I found LT to be faster and their real device cloud felt more... real. BrowserStack has a slicker UI sometimes but the performance on LT was a noticeable upgrade for me.

J Justin W. 3 weeks ago
depends what you need it for. for simple cross-browser stuff, they're pretty similar. but if you're deep into mobile app testing or complex integrations, LT has some solid advantages. and yeah, often cheaper on the annual plans.
